Cushings Disease In Dogs
...is a pretty serious thing. It is not a disease that only impacts Yorkie Dogs, but they are on the "high risk" list of dogs affected by this disease, along with Silky Terriers, Bull Terriers, Boston Terriers, Poodles and Dachshunds.
Essentially Cushings Disease, also known as hyperadrenocorticism, is a problem where the adrenal glands on the dog produce too much of the cortisone hormone.
When too much cortisone is produced the dog experiences the symptoms of Cushings Disease.
